Librizzi is a little sicilian village which is in the mountains. There is a beautiful Panorama from there you can se the Eolian Islands or also the golf from patti. The Land is covered with oliv trees and a lot of other beautiful trees. The specialitys of the village are Macheroni, diverent chese and a lot of wine.
Short Informations about Mongiove
The "Holiday's residence" of Mongiove stands on the Tyrrhenian coast of sicily , at about 60km form Messina. Where the coast, recess, between the promontory of coast, recess, between the promontory of Tindari and Capo Calava build the gulf of Patti that lean out on the wonderful scenary of Eolie Isles.
There are different ceremonies at Librizzi:
- There is the festival for the “Madonna della Catena” (which is t the first Sunday after feragosto): the marmor statue of the madonna will be carried from the village people arounf the village. The statue was created by Antonino Gagini in the 16th Century
- There is also a festival for the macheronis during the 3rd of August. Where you can also visit stands which show the antik jobs.
Next to Mongiove there is Tindari where you can visit the statue of the black madonna or also the antik greek theathre or the beautiful beach of Marinello.
Mongiove is famous for the cliffs which are known as beautiful.
There are some cliffs that you can reach only with a boat. They are fantastic The festival of the holy in mongiove is the first Sunday of August.
- The festival of the fritulla is the 2nd Sunday of semptember there you can taste fritullas, olives, chese and wine with a lot of good sicilian music.
During the summer there are a lot of attractions in Mongiove.
